Sunday Beach Trip

Treagan and I love the beach, honestly that is the only thing we do out here! I'm sure you have all noticed with ALL of my recent blog posts being of us at the beach. Oh well, we love it! It really never gets old. While Treagan and I were driving to the store today I told him I think I want to move here for good when we are done with school. He kind of gave me a funny look because there is NOTHING to do in Jacksonville, and we both complain about how little it is on a regular basis.  We agreed we would move to New Bern or find a fun town 20 minutes from the beach. We love, love, love North Carolina and we are both so grateful we get to live in this state for 5 months out of the year!
We live right by a national forest, don't ask me which one it is cause I have no idea ha But they wanted to burn parts of the forest for whatever reason. Everything was under control for the first day and then it got out of hand and they could not put it out for 3 or 4 days. Its crazy it down pours on us every other day out here for an hour and it didn't rain until they put the fire out! How sad is that! When we woke up Tuesday morning we had a thin layer of white ash on our car, side walks, grass everything. It was pretty crazy! Treagan would come home from knocking with ash stuck in his hair and on his cloths! It was a fun few days watching it burn up and all of the helicopters dumping 100's of gallons of water from the sky :) I actually have pictures of the fire but I must not have uploaded them. New post I will put them up.

Beach Bums

I have been computer-less for the last week and a half! My adorable little kitten, Charlotte thinks anything that moves is a play toy. She bit right threw the charger so we had to order a new one, which got here today! It's been a long week, even though I have Treags old ipad it feels like I'm using a dinosaur, its only a year old might I add! Isn't it crazy how electronics up date so quickly? I am so glad that the MacBook Air is up and running again I have missed using it!
Last Sunday Treag and I headed to the beach after church with the rest of our Vivint friends. I know I say this all of the time but we LOVE North Carolina so much, I never want to leave! We have had so much fun living so close to the ocean. It was just a regular beach day for us. We didn't do anything out of the ordinary, just regular beach things. On our way to the beach we had to wait a good 45 minutes to get over the bridge because it was open for a big boat to go under. I took forever! When we finally got there we found our friends in our regular spot and set up our beach towels and laid out for a while before we jumped in the ocean. Lets be honest I never really jump in lets get real, if its not the Caribbean clear blue I don't really want to risk going in too deep. And with the last shark attack being right down the road from us I wasn't fond of the idea of going in any higher than my waist. Treag is obviously a different story. He was out there on his boogie board catching all the waves he could! He played 500 with the rest of the Vivint guys. I got to play with Kylee finding shells and trying to get Ty to like the water a little more. It was so cute how scared he was of the ocean! It really was the perfect afternoon.

Birthday Bliss

Happy 22nd birthday to me! This birthday was a pretty good one I must say! My husband sure does know how to make a birthday special even when he is gone for 90% of it! Treag had an early meeting, of course, and of course he got home well after 10:00pm :( But he still made it fun! We woke up and went to the gym, my mother called and I chatted with her while she packed for China, yes China how lucky are my siblings that live at home?! Treag hurried and got ready, and served me my breakfast, a yummy yogurt. (He isn't much of a cook ha) When Treag left for work one of my friends, Ashley, took me to get a pedicure. She is such a sweetheart! It was so much fun to get out and just chat while someone was rubbing my feet! Best foot rub ever. . . The wives threw me a cute little birthday party at the pool. (I wish I took pictures of everyone!) They had yummy fruit and some amazing lemon bars with candles in them for me to blow out. How sweet are they! It's always fun to get together with the wives and chat for a few hours. I love Vivint wives! They are seriously all so sweet!
When I got home after the little party I had a women waiting at my door with a HUGE bouquet of gorgeous flowers! My husband seriously is the sweetest! It totally made my day! He really did out do his self this year. While I was waiting for Treagan to finally get home I spent the rest of my day watching Gossip Girl while eating popcorn. It was a pretty relaxing day. When my Hunzie did get home we went to pick up our pizza, yes pizza for my birthday dinner. Living in a little town where everything closes at 9pm pizza is the best you can get! Treagan was starving so we ate dinner and talked about our days before we opened presents. Treagan sure did spoil me for my birthday! New purple running shoes, an adorable summer bag, mint jeans, (which I was so excited about!) and a new shirt! See pretty spoiled. We ended the night watching Heros and snuggling in bed. It was the perfect birthday!

Surf City

Treagan and I had the best Sunday ever yesterday. It really was such a fun day that we got to spend together. This past week he had been getting home extra late and leaving earlier! It was a much needed day off from the stress of work. After church a bunch of the married couples out here wanted to go to the beach, and we wanted to go too of course! We headed for Surf City around 1:00pm and we had a blast! Treag got a boogie board and he was in heaven with it! We also got an orange football for him to take to the beach and play! The guys LOVED that it was Vivint orange :) They played 500 in the ocean, it was pretty fun watching them play. I spent my afternoon snapping pictures of my adorable Hunzie, making sand castles with Emery, (one of the wives cute little girl.) I got to play in the ocean with Treag, while he tried to convince me to get on that boogie board. I don't know why I didn't want to "ride the waves" I think the idea of salty water washing up all over my face, and in my mouth didn't sound like fun! Maybe our next trip I will try it out. Our day trip was amazing! We can't tell you how much we love living on the coast! We just found out we will be here until mid July now! Happy day for us! We don't want to move inland :)

Now I just need to convince my Hunzie that crab legs are amazing, so we can share a 1lb bucket next time! We did convince Treag to try a breaded shrimp dip that he tried, and he liked it! One of these days I will get him to try sea food and love it! Baby steps! Oh, the crab cake I got was delish though!
